Vichyssoise

I haven't been writing for a while, so I've decided to put up a little taster of a RP I did with a friend. Warnings for torture...yes, mainly for torture.

**********

The Master pushed his way through the crowded market place on the fourth planet of the Denareen system. He had tucked safely in his pocket a replacement component he needed for his type 55 TARDIS. His contact on this planet was able to get a surprising amount of rare machinery. It did surprise the Master. HE was eager to return to his TARDIS and get out of the crowd as night was soon to fall.

The sight of the Master pushing his way through the marketplace distracted Jack from his new favourite hobby: drinking. His regeneration was still so high he couldn't get drunk, and the stronger ones only made him vaguely tipsy. For someone with as much to forget as he did...well, it was disappointing to say the least. Nothing seemed to work on him...but no, the drink was distracting him. That was the Master, first on his list for retribution - and he hadn't seen Jack yet. Perfect.

He left the bar, blending into the mass of humanoids and aliens as he shadowed the Master through the press of bodies. After a moment he cautiously drew an odd-shaped gun, twisted the dials on its side, and fired into the air. A deafening report echoed through the air as its tip exploded, the shockwave knocking many to the ground as shrapnel shredded through the gathered people.

Now that everyone else was out of the way Jack aimed the weapon at the Master, clicked the dial over, and fired a powerful sedative at his Timelord enemy.

The Master had an extremely well honed instinct for self preservation. He'd been trying for a while to find a personal force field. However, that day had not yet come. So the Moment he heard the explosion that was uncomfortably close behind him he took a flying leap for cover. It didn't however stop the shards of some sort of hot shrapnel catching him in the back of the leg. He ignored them and was up again in an instant. Quite sure that this wasn't a coincidence and quite sure he wanted to get himself and the critical mechanism back to the TARDIS. There were quite a few people he'd pissed off over the years and he didn't exactly want to meet any of them right now. He threw his hand into his inside pocket and fished around for his laser screwdriver just as the smoke was settling. What he wasn't prepared for was the heavy impact of something on the back of his neck. He grabbed at it and glared at the dart in his fist just as he felt the world tip slightly and the pain in the back of his leg start drifting away. He contemplated what sort of dosage the sedative was because it was working quite well just before he hit the ground and blacked out.

~*~*~*~

Jack smiled a little lopsidedly - for once carrying the kind of sedatives that could keep him down was coming in useful. What with the Timelord ability to filter poisons from their body with a mere thought, it required a very powerful and fast-acting sedative to bring them down. He'd done his research with the Doctor, then set him loose to attract the Timelord he was much more interested in having a personal 'conversation' with. And now...well. It was hard to decide whether to set this one loose on some jungle world and hunt him down or just have their little chat somewhere nice and quiet and dark.

The sound of sirens approaching decided him - it was time to leave. Picking up the Master's limp body he teleported them both to his ship and launched into the blackness of space.

While he was still unconscious Jack bent the Master into foetal position and secured a metal band around him, much as one would around a keg, and then tightened it until it was impossible to wriggle out of.

As an afterthought, he emptied the Master's pockets of everything he could find and left it all in a box on a shelf for later perusal, then waited for his old tormentor to wake.
